ANOMALOUS EXPANSION of WATER
Usually when the liquid is poured in the corner, its volume increases and its density decreases. But in the case of water, there are exceptions to this rule in a certain range of temperature. Slowly heating a certain amount of water in the corner from 0 ℃ to 4 ℃ shows that the volume of water does not increase or decrease. Then as the temperature increases, the volume of water expands like other liquids and the density of water decreases That is, at a temperature of 4 ℃ the volume of water is lowest and the density is highest. Slow cooling of some amount of hot water again shows that the volume of water decreases consciously as the temperature decreases until the temperature of other liquids reaches 4°C. But when it is cooled from 4 ℃ to 0, the volume of water does not decrease but increases. Thus it can be seen that the behavior of water between 0 ℃ to 4℃ is different from the behavior of other liquids. This different kind of expansion of water between 0 ℃ and 4℃ is called Anomalous expansion of water.
*This method i have been already experiments.
